Terms & Conditions of Service
These Terms & Conditions govern the supply of locksmith services and products by HS Locksmiths. By booking our services, accepting a quotation, or authorizing work, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Service Overview & Booking

1.1 Scope of Service

HS Locksmiths provides emergency and non-emergency locksmith services to residential and commercial customers throughout London and surrounding areas.

1.2 Customer Responsibilities

Customers requesting service must ensure that:

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if health and safety are at risk.

1.3 Emergency Response Times & Force Majeure

Emergency response times are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed due to traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond our control. HS Locksmiths is not liable for delays or failures to perform obligations caused by severe weather, transport disruptions, strikes, or other force majeure events.

2. Quotations, Pricing & Payment

2.1 Quotations & Scope Changes

All initial quotations are based on details provided at the time of enquiry. If inspection reveals unforeseen issues, required repairs, or necessary replacement parts, we will inform you and seek your approval before undertaking additional chargeable work.

2.2 Call-Out & Labour Charges

Call-Out Charges: Where applicable, agreed call-out fees cover attendance and initial assessment only. Parts and additional labor are charged separately.

Labour Charges: Quoted based on expected time and complexity. You will be notified before any additional labor charges are accrued.

2.3 Parts Pricing Policy

All replacement parts supplied are sold at our own commercial prices according to internal pricing policy. Prices may differ from manufacturer Recommended Retail Prices (RRP), trade prices, online rates, or third-party suppliers.

We do not offer price matching, refunds, or adjustments based on external price comparisons. For commercial reasons, procurement sources and supplier details are strictly confidential.

2.4 Payment Terms

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work unless agreed otherwise in writing. Accepted payment methods include cash, debit card, credit card, and bank transfer (where available).

Failure to settle payment may result in debt recovery action and recovery costs as permitted by law.

2.5 Cancellations

If a booking is cancelled after an engineer has been dispatched, a cancellation or call-out fee will apply.

3. Approval, Guarantees & Liability

3.1 Customer Approval

No chargeable work will be performed without prior customer agreement, except where immediate action is required to protect life, safety, or property under customer authorization.

3.2 Guarantees & Warranty

Workmanship: Covered by our workmanship guarantee for a reasonable period from the installation date.

Parts: Covered under the respective manufacturer’s warranty.

Exclusions: Guarantees are void if the product has been tampered with, misused, damaged accidentally, subjected to break-in attempts/vandalism, or affected by normal wear and tear. Warranty claims must be reported as soon as reasonably possible.

3.3 Returns & Refunds

Due to the nature of locksmith emergency services and custom-fitted parts, installed products cannot be returned unless faulty. Refunds are issued strictly in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.

3.4 Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to statutory rights, our maximum total liability shall not exceed the total sum paid by the customer for the specific job. We accept no liability for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profits, business disruption, or property damage resulting from pre-existing structural issues.

4. Legal & Compliance

4.1 Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation (UK GDPR) and our Privacy Policy.

4.2 Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any legal disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
